Text Box: ELITE READIES MOBILE RECORDING AND BROADCAST UNIT FOR CONGALINE AND CROP-OVER Text Box: Inside this issue: Text Box: Elite’s mobile recording and broadcast truck is being upgraded for the Congaline and Crop over festivals.  Along with the four LX 20 ADAT recording machines, Allen & Heath 32 channel studio board, plethora of effects, signal processors and mastering/cd burner unit, they have added a computer to run as a back up hard disc recorder and digital editing suite. It was found that the ADAT 8 track digital recording machines were not 100% reliable. The reason being that even if nothing went wrong there would always be a chance that you might have to change tape in the middle of the song so an efficient backup system was needed. Also with the studio market being saturated with home studio’s one cannot let a lack of technology to interrupt the creative process. There is also the consideration that studio time is money and when a client can get the work done in one hour instead of 10, then at 100 dollars being the average studio cost, one just has to do the math.
